WEIOP TREATMENT

Treatment begins with two orientation sessions with the program Social Workers and Dietitians. WEIOP is comprised of group sessions each day of program (90 minutes in length), as well as weekly individual sessions with the Social Workers and Dietitians (45 to 60 minutes per appointment). The therapeutic modality used by social workers in individual sessions is Enhanced Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT-E), one of the most effective treatments for eating disorders. To learn more about CBT-E, please click here.

These sessions will be tailored to your individual needs. Groups utilize different therapeutic modalities that will include but are not limited to: cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), psychoeducation, as well as a nutrition group.

Check-in phone calls will occur 1-2 x per week and will consist of a program staff calling you to check in on symptoms, confirm your commitment to recovery and to ensure that you have your meal planned for meal support on that day.
