BANA Volunteer Opportunities

Are you passionate about mental health, wellness, and making a difference in your community? BANA is seeking dedicated Community Outreach Volunteers to help us spread awareness, reduce stigma, and provide vital health promotion education. As the face of BANA at public events, you will engage with diverse audiences ranging from young children (ages 4+) to seniors, delivering evidence-based information in a positive and supportive manner.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Public Engagement: Represent BANA at public-facing events, including local health fairs, community festivals, and information booths.
  • Educational Facilitation: Assist in delivering age-appropriate educational sessions and activities on body image, self-esteem, and mental wellness to various age groups (from 4 years old to older adults).
  • Resource Distribution: Provide community members with information regarding BANA’s programs, resources, and support services.
  • Independent Event Management: Following comprehensive training, volunteers will be expected to manage booths and interact with the public independently and unsupervised at times.
  • Setup & Takedown: Help transport, set up, and pack away event materials, displays, and promotional items.

In partnership with Windsor Essex Community Health Centre – Teen Health, BANA provides a centralized intake service to residents of Windsor-Essex. Intake services are provided free of charge to all ages. By streamlining inquiries and access to treatment, this allows our team to provide continuity in care.
